A new friend for Room F

Hi

My name is Flip.I am a little blue penguin. I was rescued and someone knitted me a lovely jersey to keep me warm while my feathers were recovering from all the oil. Now I go to Manchester School and it is such a fun place. The kids in Room F really care for me and the environment.

Jump Jam

Every morning we start the day with some Jump jam. It is lots of fun and we are keeping fit. On Thursday it was our day to be the leaders. See our moves!

Fireman Kerry Visits

Fireman Kerry visited us on Thursday. He was finding out how Firewise we were! He was impressed! He had a bag of smoke with him and we showed him how we would ..get down ,get low and get out if we find smoke in a room. He reminded us to CHECK our SMOKE ALARMS THIS WEEKEND.

It's snowing in Room F!! We had some experts from Room B come to our class and show us how to make giant snowflakes. They look really great hanging above our writing table.

Our HERO Mr Belk

Did you know that Mr Belk saved our school? Last term some paintings caught on fire in the office area. Mr Belk saw it and quickly used the fire hose and put it out!

This week we have been using our white hat for thinking and writing facts we know about penguins.

Yeh... we have our beanies! Mrs Hogan came and brought us our prizes for being half way in our winter warmers booklet. We have been reading some great stories about penguins, fish and dragons. We are keeping warm. Are you?

The Life Cycle of Sea Turtle

We heard about the diamond terrapin turtles that walked across JFK airport runway and held up the planes for 3 hours! They were walking to their nesting place.
It is very important for turtles to find their nesting place each year.
